We spent a lot of time in Hong Kong,
Tokyo and much of the rest of the
world before John joined the horse
world. Then our travel was for
World Cup Finals, Olympics, World
Championships, Hickstead, Aachen
and Spruce Meadows - all of the major
shows in the world. We also made
many trips to Holland, Germany and
Belgium to import horses and meet with
horsemen.
The current and most recent admirals in charge of
Naval Air Forces were John’s dear friends and they
loved spending time with him and going to Charger
football games in his 1979 Lincoln Town Car. There
were grand traditions right up to the end. His heart
attack on December 18 was at the conclusion of a
happy day at the fnal home game of the 2011 Charger
football season.
