When developing Citrus Series Horse Shows, organizer James Lala listened to the requests of trainers and riders he’s heard over the years. And recently, he heard that trainers and riders want more warm-up classes-so he added hunter and jumper warm-ups. The Citrus Series signature orange ribbons will be awarded for hunter warm-ups for scores over 70 points and for jumper warm-ups for fault-free rounds.

The unique features of the show are designed to help trainers, developing horses and riders achieve their goals. Ponies may be ridden by professionals and adults. If time permits, competitors can do do-overs to make certain horse and rider leave the ring with a positive learning experience. A user-friendly class schedule makes it easy for ship-ins and sale horse identifiers provide an opportunity to market sale horses.

Friday night features jumpers under the lights starting at 6 p.m. Come and hang out and enjoy the jumpers at a great facility.

While you’re at the show make sure you get a bite to eat. The Citrus Series gourmet food vendor, International Classic Cuisines will offer a great menu and fresh roasted Kona coffee. Chef Marlene Wong Walton is a graduate of the Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco.  Expect a better than the average horse show fare!

Owners, breeders, riders, trainers and their assistants are encouraged to bring their up-and- coming horses and riders to come experience Citrus Series, at Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, a close, convenient high quality facility. Jim Brandon Equestrian Center is located just a three miles / five minutes from the intersection of 441 and Forest Hill Boulevard.
