Tredstep Ireland Updates Popular Donatello Field Boot with ‘Tall’ Sizing

September 30, 2012 By: janwest Category: What's Happenin'

DUBLIN, Ireland – 20 August 2012 – In response to customer demand, Tredstep Ireland has unveiled a ‘Tall’ version of their best-selling Donatello riding boots.  The additional sizing is designed to accommodate riders who have a longer leg, and those riders who prefer a taller silhouette. The new Donatello Tall boots will be available from U.S. retailers in November 2012. Pricing on the boots is expected to remain the same.

Discerning riders prefer the Donatello field boot because it is a classically beautiful boot, with exceptional fit at a competitive price.  Handcrafted using premium full grain nappa leather and a supple leather lining, the Donatello boots feature a full-length, heavy-duty ykk coil zipper, a rear stretch panel and top gusset resulting in an attractive, slim-fitting, contoured leg. The Donatello also incorporates Tredstep’s Innovative Increased Flexion Design, which ensures a comfortable flexion of the ankle and reduces the break in time of the boot. A classic European top line, side spur rests, a rolled toe cap and swagger tab provide the perfect finishing touches to the Donatello.

“We’re always eager for feedback from the riders who wear our products,” said Aidan Keogh, Tredstep Managing Director and designer of the Renaissance Collection. “The Donatello boot has become a staple among riders and when they asked us to create a tall style, we were delighted to respond.”

About the Renaissance Collection

Tredstep’s Renaissance Collection is a rebirth of beautiful classically designed boots reinterpreted to offer the rider unparalleled performance, comfort, and fit. They incorporated the first ever design of a top class tall boot, which flexes with the rider, enhancing the effectiveness and comfort of the riding experience. This innovation is enveloped in exquisite leather and beautiful lines offering unsurpassed sophisticated luxury.

About Tredstep Ireland

In 1993, Irish entrepreneur and Three-Day Event rider Aidan Keogh saw the need for a better half chap, and set out to create his own.  A former design student who studied fine arts, Keogh believed that he could improve the comfort and performance of riding wear, while respecting the traditions of a Centuries-old sport.  His product eventually redefined the market and brought half-chaps to the mainstream where they are now standard equipment for every rider. Along the way he created Tredstep Ireland, a company driving innovation, but ever respectful of the traditional roots of equestrian sport.

Tredstep now offers a complete collection of chaps, boots and accessories including the newly released Raphael tall boot, part of their superior Renaissance Collection, all designed to make the riding experience more enjoyable. Devon, PA (September 24, 2012) – The ShowChic dressage boutique is “styling” at Dressage at Devon – from their fantastic black and white themed booth to their cutting-edge Animo clothing line to “Arlo’s Gift with Purchase” program. Michele and Doug Hundt, owners of ShowChic, an upscale dressage boutique based in Wellington, Florida, are on the fall dressage tour and are excited to be showing off their latest fashions at Dressage at Devon.

ShowChic is known for helping riders look stylish, and as a premier carrier of the Animo clothing line they can have Dressage at Devon rides and shoppers looking great and feeling great too. “Animo fashions are constructed using the latest in performance apparel technology, making sure the rider not only looks better than the competition, but performs like it also,” said Michele Hundt. “We have many select Animo items on sale at Devon and that’s something you just don’t see everyday”.

ShowChic’s boutique at Dressage at Devon is also the only place to find “Arlo’s Gift with Purchase” program –get a free gift with any purchase of $25 or more. Arlo, the Hundt’s black Standard Poodle who travels with them to all the shows, has quite a fan club and decided it was a doggone good idea to give his fans the bonus of a free gift. “Arlo loves to greet everyone and has developed a great following,” Hundt said. “So as a way for ShowChic to give back to so many loyal customers, as well as new customers, we are offering a free gift with every purchase of $25 or more.

Hundt added that in addition to looking great in Animo, the clothing line has a scientific appeal. “Animo clothing also allows the rider the opportunity to say goodbye to static shock because the yarns used for the composition of Animo fabrics are antistatic, which means they are able to eliminate the electrostatic charges produced by rubbing of the fabrics,” Hundt said, “Animo fashions are also made with special yarns that give the fabrics a pleasant and soft feel. In additional to feeling wonderful, due to their hygroscopic power, the perspiration dries rapidly which reduces the damp feeling and enhances freshness. And only Animo fashions offers the Animo Gripping system for comfortable grip, anti-odor fabrics, hypoallergenic and Beta CX-active and intelligent fabrics. “ShowChic wants to help riders look stylish – whether in the show ring or headed out for a night on the town and Animo brings style and high tech performance together,” Hundt said.

Following Dressage at Devon, the ShowChic mobile unit will hit the road and head to the GAIG/USDF Region 3 Championships in Fairburn, Georgia on October 5-7th. ShowChic carries everything the rider needs to dress for success in the dressage arena, including well-known brands like Kentucky, Cavallo, Arista, , Pikeur, Kingsland, Back on Track, Samshield, GPA, Charles Owen and of course, Animo.
