Parker, CO – July 3, 2014 – Colorado Horse Park’s Summer in the Rockies brings thousands of horses and riders to the Denver area over the course of its six-week run. This year the show is bigger than ever, with even larger numbers of competitors traveling from all over the United States to compete in show jumping and enjoy the ideal Colorado weather and the wonderful amenities of the Colorado Horse Park and surrounding areas.

Each Saturday during the show, some of North America’s best show jumping athletes and their horses compete in a Grand Prix. The jumps are raised and the riders and horses are challenged over intricate and skill-testing courses in the Kathy and Brad Coors Family Grand Prix Arena at the Colorado Horse Park. Those with clear rounds return to compete over a shortened course for the fastest time. The excitement that ensues is engaging to all as the riders pilot their equine partners to vie for the win. Area spectators are welcome and encouraged to experience the excitement of one of the few Olympic sports where men compete equally against women.
