Beezie Madden, ever the helmet-wear trendsetter

Leave it Beezie to be a groundbreaker, again, in helmet wear. Years ago, she was one of the first top riders to don the GPA stripe helmet, and now she’s done it again by being the first American to take helmet graphics to a whole new level. With all of the recent talk about helmet use and mandatory helmet rules, I think we’re all noticing who’s got one and who doesn’t – as well as who is setting a new standard for cool. That would be Beezie Madden, ladies and gentleman. Her helmet sponsor, Charles Owen, knew who to call when they wanted to get visibility for this ultra-patriotic, custom helmet. It really stood out under the lights during last Friday’s Nations Cup, and here, during Sunday’s $150,000 Wellington Equestrian Realty Grand Prix, in which Beezie placed 5th. Beezie, you’re the coolest.
